For Piano Trio transfers digital sampling techniques into acoustic chamber music. A fragment, a gesture is isolated, repeated, dismantled, and displaced — until communication begins to fail. What remains is not a failure but an in-between space: a zone of ambiguity in which meaning stays in motion and time loses its linear direction.
The subtitle is taken from Clarice Lispector's The Passion According to G.H. She speaks of a corporeality that reaches beyond the individual: an abundance older than ourselves, one that does not plead and does not need — and on which we can nevertheless rely. The strangeness within us, to which we may give ourselves over. In Lispector, the living is made of the most delicate material, and bodily energy appears as the most delicate of all.
The piece seeks not the precision of the machine but a state of suspension in which a sound can unfold without demanding anything. Dwelling on the fragment becomes a gesture of trust — in the abundance of the body, in failure as form.
