written for Ekmeles with text by Göksu Kunak/Gucci Chunk

Influenced by Testo Junkie: Sex, Drugs, and Biopolitics in the Pharmacopornographic Era (Paul B. Preciado), Testomania refers to the high that a body experiences when exposed to testosterone during a process of sex-transition. Göksu Kunak/Gucci Chunk—a queer writer based in Berlin—contemplates on gender hacking and imagines a world beyond pre-conceived notions of gender.

Few materials are presented in this piece—our two most primal and earliest musical expressions—singing and beating—voices and drums—extreme horizontality combined with extreme verticality—sometimes masked with aggressive noise.

    Text:
    purely crafted
    animal machine
    blossom in myth and magic
    times in utopian lands

    thirty packets
    testo drops
    on open
    luscious ginas

    breasts breathe
    and
    squirt
    not only milk
    but pink

    blithe hands move on skins
    gardens of myth and misery

    sighs echo
    in bliss
    roar in euphoria
