Music for Hotelbars (2018)
for piano trio and electronics (60+ min.)
Music for Hotelbars, a concert/performance series curated by Bastian Zimmermann, takes the social space of a hotel bar as framework to consider and situate aesthetic musico-performative practices in and as the background. The evening and I created together with the Zafraan Ensemble at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin was a 4-1/2 hour long performance for piano, violin, cello and electronics where we slowed down, froze and phase shifted waltzes from the beginning of the 20th century. Elie Gregory made a soundscape composition out of our performance, which you can listen to here.
performer by the Zafraan Ensemble with Clemens Hund-Göschel (piano), Emmanuelle Bernard (violin) and Martin Smith (cello)
